Durgamohatsav – 2016-17

Durgostav or Durga Puja is a nine day celebration falling in the month of Ashwin (October), from the first  to the tenth day of the bright fortnight. The festival represents the victory of Goddess Durga over the Buffalo demon named Mahishasura signifying the ‘victory of good over evil’.

To mark this occasion puja was organised in the Wada college of management and science premise on the sixth day, Mahashosti. A Durga protima (idol) was beautifully decorated. She stood tall with her offsprings, Lakshmi, Sarswati, Ganesh and Kartikey. The puja was followed by a Dhunuchi dance by the students. The toddlers of sapling class witnessed the puja and enjoyed the prasad that was distributed and were awestruck by the enchanting Dandiya dance performance presented by the students of all class.
