Descriptive Report on celebration of “WORLDS AIDS DAY” 2015-2016

As per the direction of the State Liaison Officer, NSS, Government of Maharashtra, the NSS Cell, University of Mumbai, Wada College of Management & Science celebrated ‘World AIDS Day” through a small street play at “Wada Bus Depot”.

Through Street Play they have spread awareness on ‘AIDS’. They have explained the meaning if ‘AIDS’, various causes, Ways of transmission of ‘AIDS’ & various ways through which AIDS does not spread.

After the completion of street play, A volunteer addressed the crowd regarding various causes of ‘AIDS’ i.e. unprotected sex, HIV/AIDS infected mother to her unborn child, use of infected needles & syringes & transfusion of infected blood. They have also spread awareness on various ways due to which AIDS does not spread such as social contact like shaking hands or hugging, cough or sneezing, sharing utensils & through mosquito bites.

Wada College of Management & Science, NSS volunteers accomplished the successful NSS Street Play on “AIDS” as per the university guidelines & the State Liaison Officer, NSS, Government of Maharashtra, the NSS Cell, University of Mumbai. All the staff & students were co-operated very well during the whole publicity week. Principal Dr. Smt. Snehal Donde Madam & Chairman Mr. Yogesh Gandhe sir directed to all participants throughout the entire activities.
