Descriptive Report of NSS CAMP 2015-2016

NSS Special Camp : From – 28th October to 3rd November

Day 1:

On 28th October we reached at Gowardhan Eco Village,Galtare. In the beginning Co-Ordinator of ISKCON temple Nimayaji addressed all the Volunteers regarding the work allotment for Nexus Conference. Then all the volunteers had dinner at 8:00 p.m. Then Programme Officer took an activity in order to spread social awareness among volunteers. Finally took review on whole day.

Day 2:

On 29th of October, volunteers woke up at 6:00 a.m. in the morning then they went for jogging & excersing. Then the time was given to get ready after that we took NSS Prayer & they had breakfast. In the morning they had a session on “Life & SEWA” taken by “Lila Prabhuji”. There was also a short description given by “Nimayaji” regarding the Nexus Conference. Then after they have selected leaders for completing the allotted task. They have allotted the task such as Cow Dung Flooring, Unloading of chairs & Cleanliness of Conference hall. In the evening volunteers had a session on Bases of ISKCON.  At 8:00 p.m. they had dinner & finally review of the whole day.

Day 3:

On 30th of October, volunteers woke up at 6:00 a.m. in the morning then they went for jogging & exercising. Then the time was given to get ready after that we took NSS Prayer & they had breakfast. In the morning a session was taken by “Mr.Hitesh”. He shared about the places, birds, no. of trees & short description on “Gowardhan Eco Village”. Then the volunteers were engaged in setting up of stage for the conference.  Then they had lunch. After the lunch & tea break there was a session taken by “Lila Prabhuji” in regards to re-allotment of NSS Volunteers in various committees. At 8:00 p.m. they had dinner & finally review of the whole day.

Day 4:

On 31st October, as usual all the volunteers followed their daily routine. Volunteers woke up at 6:00 a.m. in the morning then they went for jogging & exercising. Then the time was given to get ready after that we took NSS Prayer & they had breakfast. First day of Conference Volunteers were engaged in different committees Such as Escorting, Prashadam (Serving of food), Putting up Banners etc. Morning & Evening session was engaged through “NEXUS CONFERENCE”.Finally at the end after dinner there was a review session of the whole day.

Day 5:

On 1st of December, as usual all the volunteers followed their daily routine. Volunteers woke up at 6:00 a.m. in the morning then they went for jogging & exercising. Then the time was given to get ready after that we took NSS Prayer & they had breakfast.  It was a second day of “NEXUS CONFERENCE”.Chief Guest “Kiran Bedi” addressed at the conference & students were taking note. After the completion of conference Volunteers were engaged in their allotted task. Finally at the end after dinner there was a review session of the whole day.

Day 6:

On 2nd November, as usual all the volunteers followed their daily routine. Volunteers woke up at 6:00 a.m. in the morning then they went for jogging & exercising. Then the time was given to get ready after that we took NSS Prayer & they had breakfast. Volunteers were engaged in winding up of activity.Finally at the end after dinner there was a review session of the whole day & a camp fire were all the volunteers participated actively.

Day 7:

On 3rd November the “Nexus Conference certificate” & a book was given by Nimayaji (Co-ordinator of ISKCON temple).Then we left from the existing place to Galtare village & did a street play on “Swach Bharat Abhiyan”.

This year through NSS Camp, Programme Officers & all the NSS volunteers got an opportunity to attend “Nexus Conference” on the theme of environment which had helps us to learn the importance of environment .All the volunteers has actively participated in all the activity in order to explore themselves. Through performing a street play they have learnt to connect to the public. Over all it was the best experience for this year.

Throughout all the NSS activities, all the staff and students helped us with the consent of Chairman Mr. Yogesh Gandhe and Principal Dr. Snehal S. Donde.
