CULTURAL COMMITTEE

Purpose of Cultural Committee:

  • The different Cultural programme helps to allay fears among juniors and develop friendship among the Seniors and Juniors.
  • The main purpose of Cultural Committee is to provide a platform to all the students where students can show their talent in different fields. Maximum number of students should participate.
  • The purpose behind organizing such events is to motivate the students and and bring their hidden talents in front of the world.
  • For this reason many programmes are undertaken by cultural committee every year.

Students are rewarded for their achievements in various fields.

Different events organized by cultural committee in the academic year 2014-15 are as follows:

Fresher’s Party:

Fresher’s party was organized on 1st august, 2014. “Fresher’s Day parties and introduction programmes will help to allay fears among juniors and develop friendship among the Seniors and Juniors.” It was all fun for students of Wada College of Management & science. Dancing, Cheering for their friends, they celebrated Fresher’s day Parties.

Senior students of W.C.M.S. welcomed their juniors by welcome speech and song at the party. All the students followed dress code by wearing colourful ‘sarees’, ‘formal dress’.All the College Staffs were also present.

Gandhi Jayanti

“Swachhatta Abhiyan programme” was undertaken on 2nd October, 2014. Students actively participated in this programme. They cleaned their respective classrooms as well as the college playground. Students also performed a drama which was based on cleanliness theme.

Independence Day:

The Independence day celebration was conducted by the students and staff of the college on 15th August 2014. The National flag of India was hoisted by Mr. Sharad Patil in our college campus. Soon after the flag hoisting our college students sang the National Anthem followed by the Prayer song. Our honorable Chief Guest Mr. Phadke sir, principal of Swami Vivekanand College, gave a very inspiring speech for students.After the vote of thanks by Mr. Sagar Adhikari of TY.B.sc.IT, student programme ended with a Drama. Students were asked to move to their respective classes for sharing of sweets.

Children’s Day:

The event was planned and organized by Cultural committee members. The Day began with the preparation for the warm welcome.The students decorated the college with colourful ribbons,balloons and charts. A huge cake was cut as a celebration of birthday of Jawaharlal Nehru. All the students were given gift.

Republic Day:

The Independence day celebration was conducted by the students and staff of the college on 26 January, 2015. The National flag of India was hoisted by Mr. Nandkumar Gandhe in our college campus. Soon after the flag hoisting our college students sang the National Anthem followed by the Prayer song. Then the prize distribution ceremony was held and the students were given awards and certificates for their achievements.

Days Celebraton(Saree Day, Traditonal Day, Chocolate Day, Black & White Day, Rose Day, Pink Day, Environmental day) :

Several Days were celebrated in the college so that students can have fun. These activities or competitions were done among students.

Sports Day

Annual Sports day was organized on 08 January 2015, on a newly constructed ground. Shri Omprakash Sharma inaugurated the sports meet and briefed the importance of sports activity for the overall personality development of the person and appealed the students to have a good role model to follow on.

Our Principal Dr. Snehal Donde addressed the gathering and also motivated the student to participate in the events by being present for the entire day. Maximum number of students took part in all events. Teaching and non-teaching staff extended their full support for the smooth conduction of all the events on time.

Annual day (“UDHAAN”) – organized on 10th Jan. 2015.

Wada College of Management & science celebrated its Annual day on 10th January, 2015 in the campus in a grand manner. The function started at 4:00 p.m. and ended at 10:00 p.m. There was dance, song, comedy performances. Maximum number of students from our college as well as other colleges participated in the event.
