Report on “MANN KI BAAT” on 28th August, 2016

Mann Ki Baat  is an Indian radio programme hosted by Hon. Prime Minister Shri  Narendra Modi in which he addresses the people of the nation on radio, DD National and DD News.

The Hon Prime Minister, Shri  Narendra Modi, is usually expected to address the nation every month on All India Radio. Having officially started on and from October 3, 2014, the programme aims to deliver the Prime Minister’s voice to the general masses of India. Since television connection is still not available everywhere in India, especially in the isolated, rural and less developed regions, radio was chosen to be the medium for the programme, owing to its wider reach. An estimated 90% of the total Indian population is reachable over the medium additionally; various private FM radio stations in the metropolitan cities of India are allowed to broadcast a recording of the show. The first Mann Ki Baat programme was broadcast on the occasion of Vijayadashami on 3rd October 2014.

First Mann Ki Baat was arranged in Wada Nirmiti Education Society, Wada College of Management & Science, Wada on 28th August, 2016 at 2 pm. The members of the institutes participated in The Man ki Baat .All the faculty, Students and the Chairman of Wada College of Management & Science Mr. Yogesh Gandhe participated in The MAN KI BAAT.

  • Paying tribute to Great Indian soldiers.
  • Poster painting on Great Indian Soldiers sacrifice.

Opinions of students after watching man ki Baat-

When our PM himself came online through “Man ki baat” most of us thought that it is another gimmick but no, it’s not. First time, after so many years in India, a PM is connecting with each and everybody, in every corner of India through radio since it is the best way to do so. He shares his, his government’s vision, plan, gives update/status of tasks and at least gives an impression that his government is doing something for our country.

“Mann Ki Baat” by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is an effective way to reach out to the masses. He appears on air approx every month to hear the grievances of the nation. There are still a good percentage of people in our country who don’t have television in their house but do hear Radio.

Hearing Prime Minister Narendra Modi speak on his monthly radio programme Mann ki Baat, a platform where he directly communicates with the people of this country, feels as if a fatherly figure is talking to you extemporaneously. Simple as it may appear, this programme is an incredibly powerful initiative that has enabled Prime Minister to create an emotional bond and win the minds and hearts of millions of people across the country. Through this initiative, PM informs, educates, inspires, shares, reminds, urges and extols on just about everything that can contribute to nation-building.
