SPORTS COMMITTEE

Sports Committee Convener: Mr.Yogesh B. Sonawane.

Purpose of Sports Committee:

To create healthy, mentally and physically fit body and mind for every Students to ascertain their dynamic future.
To provide a platform to all the students where students can show their in different Sports. Maximum number of students should participate.
To conduct intra & inter college sports events.
Promote healthy lifestyles.
For this reason many programmes are undertaken by sports committee every year.

Different sports event organized by sports committee in the academic year 2015-16 are as follows:

Volley ball
Langadi
Tag of war
Three leg race
Throw ball
Chess
Badminton

22^nd June 2015 the seminar is arranged by the The Chairman, Mr. Yogesh Gandhe, & the staff of Wada College of Management & Science addressing to importance of sports activity for the overall personality development of the person and to take the active participation in the different sports activities during the academic year.

Teaching and non-teaching staff gave the motivation to create the healthy life style.

In the month of July all students are informed about the annual sport schedule conducted by the University of the Mumbai.

In the month of August 2016 student coordinators of different sports had taken participation in the ground making.

Students had taken participation in the Rupantaran event held by Swayam Siddhi College Bhivandi.

Intra College Competition is held in the month of December 2015 in the college for the sports kabaddi, cricket, volley ball & langadi.

In the month of December 2015 meeting is held with the student coordinators for organization of annual sports day on 21^st January in UDHAN 2016.

Students had taken active participation in the event Kala Krida Mahotsav in Wada for different sports.

On 4^th January 2016 the handball team of Wada College of Management and science participated in the inter college competition held by University of Mumbai at S.S.S.S. college of arts commerce & science wada.

We Feel proud to warm welcome to chief guest Mr Vishnuji Savra saheb. (Cabinet Minister, Tribal department, Maharashtra)

Wada College of Management & Science started its event with the great opening through welcoming our honorable guest. We have started our opening through 6 events on the first day they are:- Volley Ball, Kabaddi , Hand Ball , Langadi , Throw Ball & Chess. Starting from Valley Ball where various colleges such as St. John College, Sonopant Dandekar College, Swami College & Wada college of Management & Science participated enthusiastically. Winner for the game was Sonopant Dandekar College, Palghar.

Then after Hand Ball, Langadi ,Throw Ball & Chess were started simultaneously. Hand ball was co-ordinated by Prof. Ashish Shinde. Many colleges including our college were participated such as Chaphekar College, National College, T.B. College & Swami Junior College. Winner was Wada college of Management & Science. In other Out door game such as Langadi where our college including Swami College was participated where Swami College was the winner. In the same way for throw ball Our college including Various Colleges participated in the event. They have shown enthusiasm for an event. With the help of co-operation of other colleges our event became successful.
